We Salute All Men and Women Who Served !!
On March 30, 1973 all U.S. troops withdrew from Vietnam. Instead of receiving a welcome fitting for the sacrifice they made for this country, the majority of the returning troops were met with criticism and hostility.
Frustration, Anger, Disloyal, and Unappreciated all of these words could describe the possible feelings and thoughts that went through the minds of those individuals who fought during the Vietnam War. Some of these troops were drafted, yet they still fought and died for the lives of the those men to stood on their right and left, there was no color barrier no thought of who was rich or poor just equal, only to be diminished for their accomplishments upon their return.
Over nine million military personnel served during the Vietnam War of that number 58,156 lost their lives, while 303,704 were wounded in action and possible more missing in action. The Vietnam war was the longest war to have been fought the war was filled with much controversy for no one who fought there can really say why they were there, only to say that they went to war and many lives were lost, and others lives were changed forever never really being able to be free from what they saw, did and experience while they were in Vietnam.
The constant haunting of memories which lives with each man who served during the Vietnam war is as real to them today as it was during their time served. It has been 3 decades plus since the Vietnam war and some of men of that war is stilling fighting a war within the horror they saw and what they had to do in order to survive and return home many of those soliders never came home in their minds.
